Job Summary:
Under supervision from an Engineering Supervisor, the Engineering Team Lead will assist with overseeing the projects assigned to their team. The Team Lead will bring these skills with the ability to work independently, sufficient experience with computers and the ability to use the applicable software that is used to enable a successful fiber build.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Supervises the day-to-day Engineering of outside plant designs, construction and project management.
Required Education / Experience & Qualifications:
  • Ability to provide training and support to their team.
  • Ability to handle employee issues with the support from leadership.
  • Ability to listen, execute and deliver the client’s needs.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.

Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Interface with various department heads to ensure that a quality product is completed by team.
  • Attend all necessary calls/meetings with the client and provide timely and accurate updates as to the status of the projects assigned.
  • Complete estimates for enterprise commercial projects.
  • Work with the Engineering Supervisor and other department heads.
  • Prepare all Engineering records and present them to the Client for Client approval prior to final design and QA/QC.
  • Attend coordination and progress meetings.
  • Work with many different resources; implementation team, network engineers, field personnel and contractors to ensure quality and timely delivery of our services.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic that can provide high productivity with minimal supervision.
  • Perform all work as necessary to conform to quality control guidelines (includes compliance with requirements outlined in applicable regulations such as: OSHA, FCC, NESC and NEC, GO 95, GO 128 etc.; as well as following procedures as outlined in the Installation, Technical, Operations, and Safety Manuals, and Employee Handbook).
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Physical Requirements: 
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Vision to allow prolonged periods of computer work
  • Vision to allow differences in colors, shades and brightness
  • Light to moderate lifting is required
  • Must be able to tolerate moderate noise (business office with computers, phones, printers, and light traffic)
